What is included?
  • A planning exchange about the place, time of day, the children’s ages and their routine

  • Families who prefer a session at home, without travel or stress

How does booking work?
Send a free request with your place, date and plans. Kadrova checks which photographers are available and replies with a proposal stating the photographer, the package and the exact price. Nothing is booked until you accept.

Family photographs usually miss one person: whoever is holding the camera. A family session is an hour in which everyone is in the picture, and the photographer catches what actually happens: tickling, climbing on Dad, hunting for conkers.

With small children, the plan is short, well-timed and never forced. The photographer does not line the family up for an hour; they give the children small tasks, a race to the tree, blowing a dandelion, a hug for Mum, and in between take a few classic frames with everyone looking at the lens.

The session can be outdoors or at home. Outdoors gives you space and the colours of the season; at home the children are on their own ground with their own toys, and nobody has to travel. For families living in Poland away from relatives, it is also a simple way to send good photographs home. Kadrova matches you with an independent photographer experienced with children and sends a proposal with their name and price before you book. Our family photography guide to Poland has more on planning.

How it works

  1. 1

    Send a request

Tell us the city, a range of dates, how many people and the children’s ages, and whether you prefer outdoors or at home. The request is free and places you under no obligation.

  2. 2

    We match a photographer

We look for a photographer experienced with children, free on your dates and, where possible, speaking your language, and reply personally.

  3. 3

    You receive a proposal

It names the photographer and states the duration, what is included, the price and the payment terms, including what happens if a child is ill or the weather turns. The delivery time is stated there too.

  4. 4

    The session

The photographer agrees a time that fits naps and meals. On the day, just arrive rested and bring a snack.

Where the session happens

In cities, family sessions usually happen in parks. In Warsaw that means Pole Mokotowskie, Skaryszewski Park or the Royal Łazienki; in Kraków, the wide Błonia meadow and Jordan Park. Poznań has the Citadel park and Lake Malta, and Gdynia its beach and seaside boulevard. A session in Zakopane starts from PLN 1,050. If a baby is on the way or just arrived, see newborn photography, which is done at home.

Family Photoshoot — Poland

Preparation tips

  • Book after a nap, not before. A tired two-year-old will not cooperate, whatever the light.
  • Dress in two or three calm colours that go together. Children can have one bolder accent, such as a yellow hat.
  • Bring a crumb-free snack and wipes. A short food break often rescues the second half of a session.
  • For autumn leaves, October is usually best in Poland. In spring, blossom comes in April and May.
  • For a session at home, open the curtains and switch off the ceiling lights. Tidy one room, not the whole flat.
  • Do not promise a reward for smiling. A forced smile shows.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a family photographer cost in Poland?

A family session through Kadrova starts from PLN 800 for about an hour in a city. In Zakopane the starting price is PLN 1,050. The final price depends on the photographer, date, number of people, duration and add-ons, and is stated in your proposal.

Outdoors or at home?

Outdoors gives you space, light and the colours of the season, and the children can run. Home works better with very young children, in winter, and for families who want everyday moments. The photographer will help you choose based on the children’s ages and the season.

What is the best time of day with small children?

Whenever they are rested and fed, usually the morning or after an afternoon nap. In summer, late afternoon before dinner works well outdoors. In winter daylight is short, so outdoor sessions should finish by about 15:00.

What if our child cries or will not cooperate?

That is normal, and a photographer used to children expects it. They take a break, change the game or photograph what is happening, which often makes good pictures too. There is no need to apologise or force anyone to pose.

Can grandparents join?

Yes. Say in your request how many people will come, as a larger group may need more time. Any surcharge for extra people is shown in your proposal.

Will the photographer speak English?

Each photographer lists their languages on their profile, and we match on language where we can. English is common in the larger cities. Say in your request which languages your family speaks.

How do we book?

Send a free availability request with the city, date and number of people. We reply personally, and the booking is confirmed when you accept the proposal. See pricing for starting prices.

Don’t search for a photographer. Tell us your story.

Tell us where, when and what you’re planning. Matching the photographer and checking the date is our part.
