Quick answers
- How much does it cost?
- Proposal Photography starts from PLN 950. The final price depends on the place, duration, date, time of day, travel and any add-ons such as video, and is stated in your proposal before you book.
- How long does it take?
- A typical session lasts 1 hour and you receive around 30 edited photos.
- What is included?
- A planning exchange: spot, time, signal and where the photographer will stand
- Advice on a cover story so your partner suspects nothing
- A sequence from hiding: the approach, the question, the first reaction
- A short couple session straight after, including ring close-ups
- Where does it take place?
- Popular places include Kraków, Warsaw, Gdańsk, Zakopane, and Wrocław. Your photographer suggests the best spot for your date, the light and the crowds.
- Who is it for?
- Anyone planning a surprise proposal in a city, in the mountains or by the sea
- Visitors who want to propose in Kraków, Gdańsk or Warsaw during a trip
- People who want real reactions, not only posed portraits
- Proposals timed with a birthday, an anniversary or a holiday
- How does booking work?
- Send a free request with your place, date and plans. Kadrova checks which photographers are available and replies with a proposal stating the photographer, the package and the exact price. Nothing is booked until you accept.
A proposal lasts a few seconds and cannot be repeated. A phone propped on a wall usually catches the back of your head, and a friend hiding behind a tree is often more nervous than you are. A proposal photographer stands in the right place, with a lens that works from a distance, and knows there is only one take.
The plan is simple. You agree the spot, the time and a signal beforehand, such as taking off your hat. The photographer waits looking like a tourist, shoots the question and the first reaction, then walks over, congratulates you and runs a short couple session with no more secrets.
Many proposals in Poland are planned by visitors: a weekend in Kraków, a trip to Gdańsk, a holiday in the Tatras. Kadrova matches you with an independent photographer who knows the place and its crowds at your hour, and sends a proposal with their name, package and price before anything is booked. Our proposal photography guide for Poland covers planning in more depth.
How it works
- 1
Send a request
Tell us the city, the date or a range of dates and the time of day. If you have no spot yet, describe the setting you have in mind. The request is free, and your partner will hear nothing about it.
- 2
We match a photographer and a plan
We look for a photographer who knows the place and reply personally. If your spot is crowded or closed at that hour, we suggest an alternative.
- 3
You receive a proposal
It names the photographer and states the duration, what is included, the price and the payment terms, including what happens if the weather turns. The delivery time is stated there too.
- 4
The day itself
The photographer confirms the exact spot, the signal and a way to reach each other if you are running late. They arrive early; you bring your partner as planned.

Where the session happens
In Kraków, proposals often happen on the Vistula boulevards facing Wawel Castle or in the Planty park at sunrise; see proposing in Kraków. In Warsaw, the Royal Łazienki park and the viewpoint over the Vistula just behind the Old Town cathedral work well, as described in proposing in Warsaw. For the Motława waterfront, read proposing in Gdańsk; the pier in Sopot is a short train ride away. In the mountains around Zakopane, allow more time and a weather plan. Our list of proposal places in Poland notes where privacy is realistic at the best hour.

Preparation tips
- Pick a quiet hour: early morning or a weekday. On a Saturday afternoon in an old town, a private moment is hard to find.
- Agree a signal with the photographer and face them. The most common mistake is proposing with your back to the lens.
- Have a simple reason to be at a set place at a set time, such as a dinner booking nearby.
- Think about what your partner will wear. If you suggest going somewhere nice, they will be glad of it in the photographs afterwards.
- Keep the ring out of a bulky box that shows through a jacket pocket.
- Have a rain plan: a covered courtyard, arcades or another day. Agree it with the photographer in advance.
Frequently asked questions
How much does a proposal photographer cost in Poland?
A proposal session through Kadrova starts from PLN 950 for about an hour, including the hidden photographs and a short couple session. The price rises with longer travel, an early start, a longer session or video. You see the exact figure in your proposal before you book.
How does the photographer stay hidden?
Usually by blending in rather than literally hiding: posing as a tourist, reading on a bench or photographing the architecture. They work with a longer lens from a distance. You agree the exact spot and a signal beforehand.
What if my partner is late or we take a different route?
That is why you agree a way to reach the photographer on the day, such as a short text code. The photographer waits within an agreed window and adapts to small changes. What happens with a longer delay is set out in your proposal.
What if it rains?
With a poor forecast it is best to move the proposal to another day or under cover, such as a courtyard or arcades. The photographer can suggest a sheltered spot nearby. Rescheduling terms are in your proposal.
Can the photographer help me choose the spot?
Yes. A local photographer knows where it is quiet at a given hour and where the light is good. You can also send a few ideas and they will tell you which works best.
Will the photographer speak English?
Every photographer lists their languages on their profile, and we match on language. English is common in Kraków, Warsaw and Gdańsk. Say in your request which language you want to plan in.
How do I book?
Send a free availability request with the city and date. We reply personally, and the booking is confirmed when you accept the proposal. See pricing for how starting prices work.
